Sapanca Lake is the camping and training site for Turkey Rowing National Team; at the same time, Sapanca Lake hosts the annual Kırkpınar rowing race. In the Sapanca Lake rowing route, on the dates determined by Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, many rowing races are hold with the participation of male and female teams.
Sapanca county has a natural rowing route, it is the infrastructure of this sport and it is advantageous because it is close to İstanbul.
This advantage affect positively Sapanca Lake and Sapanca county and contribute to the recognition and tourism of the city.
